Upgrade of Vacuum Plant

Kent Hospital

Location : Kent Hospital
Value : £50,000

This NHS project included not only the upgrade of the Vacuum Plant itself but also the safe removal and disposal of the existing plant. The works included specialist lifting of the new equipment and positioning into a new dedicated plant room. All associated power and alarm system wiring were carried out by competent electricians. Minimal disruption to the hospital infrastructure occurred due to lengthy discussion and pre-contract planning.

Temporary Authorised Person

London Hospital

Location : London Hospital

This NHS hospital has a requirement for our support providing an external Authorised Person MGPS. This involves obtaining in depth knowledge of the hospital’s piped medical gas system and associated alarms. Once this has been completed the Trusts’ nominated Authorising Engineer assess the AP’s competency and carries out a thorough assessment. The Chief Executive then rubber stamps the position allowing the AP the authority to run the day to day safe use of the medical gas system for the entire hospital, including writing,/issuing permits and witnessing commissioning.

Customer Testimonial…

Dear Mr Acott,

I write to thank your company for the excellent service installing the medical gases pipe work and final connections.

It has been well reported that the coming winter has put added pressure on all NHS Trusts and at RBH we had to create space for an additional 16 beds, so this project had the direct attention of our chief exec and he has visited all the new areas. The role your company played in this project was crucial.

I was most impressed with your engineer Trevor Woodall; he’s a true professional, very knowledgeable and showed patience and courtesy when dealing with the clinical staff.

As the project manager, it was reassuring to have someone like Trevor as part of my team – he went the extra mile.

Once again, thank you for an excellent service and for assigning Trevor to this project.
I hope that we can do more business with your company in the future.
Yours sincerely,

Mike Peters
